Spotlight Squad: Hardin Jefferson

The HJ Lady Hawks are looking extremely hungry in the preseason. After finishing runner-up 3 of the last 4 years in the 4A state finals, the Lady Hawks still have the pieces to put together another DEEP run. At the Vype Pre-season Shoot-out Hardin Jefferson looked impressive early in an aggressive full-court press. All the while missing several key players for volleyball and other responsibilities.

PlayHers

‘24 Kendall Sneed– Key component for the team. She has phenomenal court vision with the ability to dish to teammates and get to the paint-at-will. Finishes well with both hands and keeps the defense guessing coming off the pick-and-roll action. She can and will knock down the ball with a hand in her face.

‘23 Molly Beavers– This McNeese State softball commit plays a beautiful inside-outside game. Watching her slip and read screens is fun to watch. With an excellent basketball IQ, Beavers keeps defenders guessing and many in comparable size can’t guard her. She knows how to create position in the paint and uses her length to go to the ball when guards throw it over the top.

‘23 Jada Pleasant- Another ballhandler. Beyond effective ability to change pace and direction. Will break away from the defender to pull up for the mid-range jumper as well.
